COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE MEMBER
SIGMA TAU DELTA ALUMNI EPSILON

June 2018 - Present

In college, I was a member of the English Honor Society, or Sigma Tau Delta. As an alumnus, I assist in creating and publishing the bimonthly society newsletter. I also utilize social media to request written submissions for the newsletter and for society relevant announcements, and communicate electronically with other committee members.

December 2017

Thesis, "Choke On My Cocksuredness," accepted to Chapman University Research Day for Fall 2017. I created and presented a poster about my research findings to selected students and professors.

I led team meetings to select pieces for publication, and to discuss our publication schedule. I overlooked the Editors' work before publication and also edited a variety of styles of work myself, from creative writing to academic papers.

My primary job as Director of Communications was to maintain the organization of Sigma Tau Delta. I utilized social media and email to contact members of the society, and assisted in planning and leading weekly meetings. I also assisted in planning all events for Spring Semester, including the Sigma Tau Delta Far Western Conference.

Production Experience

1ST AD
PUBLIC SAFETY (WEB SERIES)

April 2018

I created and maintained the shooting schedule for a three day shoot. I coordinated with the Executive Producer, Director, and Cinematographer in order to keep to our established schedule.

SHRINK (WEB SERIES)

March 2018

I utilized social media and my personal connections to create a crew for the project. I oversaw and managed all aspects of the project from pre-production to post-production.

February 2018

I researched appropriate locations and coordinated with Executive Producer to select appropriate shooting locations. I acted as the liasion between our crew and Orange to complete all necessary paperwork and obtain permission to utilize locations.

2ND AD
CHOMPY AND THE GIRLS (FEATURE)

January 2018

I maintained and organized all paperwork throughout a month long, $90,000 shoot. I consistently communicated with all actors and crew members, both on and off set. I assisted the Producer with obtaining permission to utilize all locations and communicating with locations staff.

DIRT (TELEVISION PILOT)

August 2017 - January 2018

Official selection of 2018 New York TV Festival and 2018 Independent TV Festival

I reached out to prospective actors through a multitude of casting sites, and communicated with Native American reservations in order to accurately cast Native roles. I scheduled and hosted multiple casting sessions in both Orange County and Los Angeles. I coordinated the work of a three person team in order to best utilize individual skill sets, and sent regular emails to all key crew in order to keep everyone up to date.

Created call sheets and sides for each day of shooting. Assisted Director and Producer with various tasks on set. Assisted in hiring extras and managing them while on set.

ORANGE COUNTY LITERARY SOCIETY

May 2018

I was selected from the Chapman student body to introduce renouned author Colm Tóibín at an OC Literary Society luncheon. I received and read a copy of The House of Names and met with Toibin for a short discussion prior to introducing him.

WOMEN IN FOCUS EVENT

April 2017, April 2018

I was selected as a student host for both the 18th and 19th Annual Women in Focus Event. I greeted and assisted both celebrity guests and Chapman donors, and assisted in organizing the event.

RIPPLE PUBLIC RELATIONS

May 2015 - August 2017

I assisted in a variety of hospitality positions at Ripple events. Additionally, I hosted the Carrot Cake Tasting Contest at Red Head Days Chicago, an annual event which draws thousands of national and international guests. I also recorded and edited footage of the Ravinia Food Truck Festival into short promotional videos for social media.

DEERFIELD-HIGHLAND PARK FENCING TEAM ALUMNI COMMITTEE

May 2014 - August 2017

I founded the DHP Esteemed Alumni Committee in order to maintain communication amongst the alumni base, and to coordinate the use of alumni at team events. I hosted seasonal reunions, and utilized social media to insure committee members would act as referees and hosts at home meets, including the 2015 Great Lakes Conference Championship.

July 2013 - August 2017

I greeted customers and assisted them with all outdoor needs. I attended seasonal team product seminars, and gained knowledge of the outdoor industry. I grew and maintained relationships with the entire Uncle Dan's family, resulting in long term employment.

BITTER JESTER BATTLE OF THE BANDS

May 2013 - July 2017

I acted as a production assistant at all weekly battles. I assisted in marketing the event throughout the summer. I personally assisted the Creative Director and Senior Staff throughout pre-production and production. I reached out to local companies and stores to ask for donations and collected over $20,000 worth of prizes. I organized contact information for over fifty participants and crew members, and maintained communication between all staff during July 4th event.
